HARD-TO-FIND character figurine by Royal Doulton, designed by Peggy Davies. Issued
ONLY in 1984 in a Limited Edition of 750 as part of the "Les Femmes
Fatales" Series. MADE IN ENGLAND. Fine English Bone China. SIGNED BY
THE ARTIST. "Queen of Sheba" measures 9 inches high. This impressive
queen is dressed in very detailed royal garments in purple and tan with 24K Gold
embellishments, her cheetah by her side.
Queen of Sheba is the historical and Biblical
queen from Ethiopia who heard about King Solomon's great wisdom. She journeyed
to Israel with gifts of spices, gold, precious stones, and beautiful wood and to
test King Solomon with questions. She is said to have been greatly impressed
with her findings!
