What is the List Price?
The List Price is the current market value of Royal Doulton figurines.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express,
Discover, ATM, and Paypal.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Our online shopping cart is very secure. We use substantial security
measures (including Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and encrypting) to protect
against the loss, misuse and alteration of data used in our systems.
Please see our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Yes. All personal information submitted to Grand Dezign (i.e., name,
address, telephone number, credit card number, etc.) is kept confidential and
only used for contact between Grand Dezign and you. Any information you
provide to us will never be shared with anyone else or sold to any other entity.
How will my item(s) be shipped?
You can make a selection of shipping via USPS (US postal Service) or
FedEx. All items are insured for damage or loss. Every purchase is
shipped on the day of purchase during week-days.
Does sales tax apply to my purchase?
A sales tax of 9.5% will be applied to all items shipped to locations in the
state of California.
Will I have to pay customs and duties?
If you live outside the United States of America your shipments are subject to
import charges applied by your country. Please check with your local
customs office what these charges will be as every country has its own rules and
regulations concerning duty charges. (Please note: We do not declare our
items as a "gift" or for a reduced value on customs forms).
Will I be shipped the same item as shown in the picture?
We make every effort to provide multiple images of every item. All
discontinued figurines are photographed and advertised individually. All
current items are photographed once. Due to stock rotation and the fact
that we may have multiple quantities of some pieces, if they are very similar,
we may provide an existing image for that item. The item shipped will be
the same figurine, same name, HN number, but since most items are hand made and
hand painted there may be minor variations from the image shown. If you
have any particular concerns, please contact us by e-mail at info@granddezign.com
or by calling our toll-free number (877) 294-4970 (US and Canada).
How do I know I am getting an excellent condition piece?
We carefully examine all items for chips, cracks or restoration. We
describe the condition of every item clearly and fully. If an item has
any restoration work, we describe it so that you know exactly what you are
purchasing. We will never knowingly sell you a piece as in excellent
condition if that is not the case. If you do receive a piece deemed in
excellent condition by Grand Dezign and it does not meet your expectations,
please contact us within 7 days of its arrival.
What is considered "Excellent Condition"?
Royal Doulton figurines are meticulously crafted by hand, assembled from
multiple pieces and hand-painted (see History & Marks). Every
figurine is unique and differs slightly from those of the same name and HN
number. There may be slight color variations or features in identical
figurines. An "Excellent Condition" figurine is one that has
sustained no damage (i.e., cracks, hairline cracks, chips, breaks, etc.) and is
of first quality. Due to age and having been displayed, discontinued
figurines may have minor wear. Royal Doulton inspects all figurines and
the stamp at the base signifies the first quality status provided by the Royal
Doulton Company. If an item is sub-standard, the Royal Doulton inspector puts a
scratch mark through the Royal Doulton insignia or title of the piece (at the
base of the piece), deeming the piece a "second quality". Since
each figurine is handmade and goes through much handling and several firings
before it is released, it is not unusual for a piece to contain minute spots,
bubbles or depression/rise in the porcelain or paint. Such minute
variations in the porcelain or paint are not considered a flaw.
Why should I purchase a restored piece?
Each Royal Doulton figurine is a work of art and is highly collectible.
Most discountinued pieces are hard to find and some are quite rare. When
restored properly, Royal Doulton figurines not only look beautiful, they also
retain most of their value. Buying a restored piece allows you to enjoy
the beauty of these wonderful works of art at a much more reasonable price.
All of our "restored figurines" are professionally restored to
bring damaged Royal Doulton pieces back to life. The extent of
restoration is mentioned in the "condition" section of the figurine
description so you know exactly what you are purchasing.
How can I find a particular piece of Royal Doulton?
If you are looking for a particular piece for your own collection or to give as
a gift, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be glad to assist
you in finding that one special piece to expand or complete your collection.
