An outstanding, HARD-TO-FIND character figurine by Royal Doulton, designed by P. Parsons. Issued ONLY in 1990 in a Limited Edition of 9,500 as part of the Six Wives of Henry VIII Series. MADE IN ENGLAND. Fine English Bone China. SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. "Catherine of Aragon" measures 6 1/2 inches high. She is dressed in royal attire in green and blue with an ermine wrap. She is portrayed playing cards while holding a baby monkey.

Catherine of Aragon, the daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain, was the first wife of Henry VIII and married to him for 24 years. She later fell out of favor with the king for not producing a male heir.
